43th INTERNATIONAL WHITE TRUFFLE FESTIVAL
October 24-25, 31 2026| November 1, 7-8, 14-15 2026
For 43 years, in November, when the warm colors of autumn paint the hills of Bologna, Savigno di Valsamoggia (BO) has celebrated the white truffle. This event renews itself every year with original initiatives and offerings; in this context, the truffle serves as a testament to the traditions and unique features of the Savigno area.
🌱 TARTÓFLA 43 | LIVING EARTH
⏳ The scent of waiting ⏳
🐌 In the darkness of the underground the truffle grows without haste. It ripens according to a time that is not our own, in a fragile balance governed by rains and silent roots. It cannot be hurried, it cannot be forced. One can only learn to wait, as those who truly know the woods have always done.
🫁 The truffle, when it ripens in silence, does not stay silent. It speaks by giving off a scent. A chemical signal that travels through the earth and reaches the dog's nose, the only one able to translate it. It is an ancient language that humans can't pick up on their own: they need a companion able to listen to what the earth whispers.
🐕 The dog and the truffle hunter thus learn to listen with patience. They find a message that the earth takes days to compose, following a scent that is geography and memory of the undergrowth.
🍂 Every truffle we bring to the table is the end of a wait and the beginning of a story: nature's slow time becoming word, and the word becoming flavor.
👐🏼 Come to Savigno: stop, wait, listen. The woods are already beginning to tell their story, and this year too you can hear it together with us.
