TUBER: EXPLORING THE TRUFFLE CULTURE

"Searching and Digging for Truffles in the Woods"
In 2021, UNESCO recognized "Searching and Digging for Truffles: Traditional Practices in Italy" as part of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity. During Tartófla, we have the unique opportunity to follow the footsteps of a truffle hunter and his dog as they immerse themselves in the woods of the communal truffle ground "Le Vigne," located 4 km from the center of Savigno.

"T-Factor"
- Canine Talent Show for free-range dogs. Put your dog to the test to see if it has truffle-hunting talent in its veins! An expert truffle hunter will assist you and your four-legged friends in the search for precious truffles. Dogs of all breeds and ages can participate. Registration starts at 9:45 AM at Casellina Park. Field trials begin at 10:15 AM. Participation fee is 10€ per dog.

"Truffle World"
Every day of the festival at Piazza XV Agosto in Savigno
Each day of the festival, in a square adorned with the colors of the forest, you will have the opportunity to discover all the curiosities about the world of truffles directly from the expert truffle hunters of the "Il Tartufo aps" association. You can witness small demonstrations of "search and digging," delve into the symbiotic relationship between truffles and truffle-bearing plants, and explore their uses through the panels of the Truffle Museum.

"The Great White Gold Rush" - a guided walk in the surroundings of Savigno with stories of history, curiosities about the world's most precious food, and a demonstration of truffle hunting in the woods with the truffle hunter and his dog. Meeting at 9:30 AM in Piazza XV Agosto, a 5-6 km route with a maximum elevation of 200 meters, returning at 12:30 PM.
Participation fee is 12 euros (children up to 12 years old, 5 euros).

"The Truffle Trees"
- On the occasion of the 40th Edition of Tartoflà, in the splendid setting of Valsamoggia, you can visit Savigno and its hills, the custodians of the prized White Truffle. Discover the symbiotic relationship between the aerial and underground world that unites the plant world in this area of Bologna. Meeting at 9:30 AM at the Bonifica square, an 8 km route with an elevation of 220 meters, returning at 1:00 PM.
Participation fee is 12€ (children under 10 years, 6€).
